    Hello all,

I'm a newb here. I've had this PVR for about 2 years I guess. When I turned it on yesterday, all I could get was audio, and the screen is black (I have it hooked up to my TV via S-video).

I turned it off for 4 or more hours, turned it back on, and no video. I then unplugged it overnight, came back in today and turned it on- same problem- no video.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what the problem might be?

    Thanks,

    HokieJoe

Try replacing your S-Video cable. Since you are just losing video it might have gone bad.

Hehe, funny you should say that. The problem was the S-video cable.

    Duh.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

At least it wasn't the unit for a change.....it's so often the unit, people forget that it could be the cable!
