Hi all, I'm planning on ordering an HR-24 from Solid Signal to replace an HR-21 that seems to be dying (random pauses, picture stuttering, freezing up, etc) and have a couple of questions about installing the new unit:

    1. I have the WHDVR service, so the HR-21 has an external deca. With the HR24's internal deca, I assume that the only connection to the receiver will be coax from the wall and that there will be nothing connected to the ethernet port. Is this correct?

    2. Is there anything I'll need to do to to "set up" the WHDVR on the new unit or will it automatically be recognized?

Thanks in advance for answering what I'm sure are pretty simple questions!

    1) Correct

    2) Check the Whole House settings in the menu. You'll probably have to set it to share recordings.
