My first question is simple. I need to avoid credit checks right now, as I'm closing a loan for a home this week. I don't want to mess that up. DirecTV has a great deal right now, but it expires in a day or two. I assume new offers go up pretty quickly. Also, any word on how good this current deal actually is? I've never had DTV so I'm unfamiliar. My next question is about DECA. I'm fairly advanced with my media usage, and I currently use media streamers in multiple rooms to stream my collection of ripped DVDs. (All legally purchased!) In the past with Comcast, I used MOCA to run the network, as it is FAR superior to Wireless. Does DECA function similarly for DirecTV? Can I hook up simple network switches at the STB locations to serve network/internet connectivity throughout the home? I was considering running a hardwired Ethernet network, but that is some work. If DECA works like MOCA, I can likely avoid that. Thanks in advance!
