 Opps, I forgot all about that on the R22. This is my Diagnostics Report for the canceled recording above: 20080722-2876

I hardly ever use skip-to-tick but I'll try it tonight when I flip my R22-200 on and post my results...

Remember-first showcase movie of the week starts recording at 10PM CDT tonight so schedule conflicting recordings on both tuners if you don't want it! ;)

I don't have mine networked. I need to find the specific directions on how to add it to my wireless network. Anyone have the reference thread?

For my R22. I used a power line adapter and it works great. Extremely easy to setup. I have also used a wireless gaming adapter for my HR20 and that works great also.

I know very little about powerline adaptors. Where on the R22 do they plug into and what type of connection is used to the PC? USB?

Use the ethernet connector on the R22. Check the networking threads for the HR2x series, same setup and principle involved.

If you go this route. You will need to get 2 of them. One for the R22 and one for your router. You will plug one powerline adapter into the power outlet by the R22 and run a cat 5 cable from your R22 to the power line adapter. Then you plug the other powerline adapter in by your router and run a cat 5 cable from that powerline adapter to the router and presto that's it.

You can get these from Directv. https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/mydirectv/cep/myProgrammingKits.jsp?_requestid=265792

Tried using skip-to-tick on my R22-200 and it seems to be working fine. Of course, it doesn't work on the live buffer but skip-to-tick never did-even on the R15.

Oh, and it doesn't work on recorded shows either if they are still part of the live buffer. How do you know? Look at the progress bar. If the times are actual clock times, it's still part of the live buffer.

I've done some further testing since I've experienced "Invalid Access Card" messages on my R22-200. It seems if the receiver is powered off and then powered back on in a few minutes it restarts normally. But if it is powered down for a number of hours (6-8 or more) when it is plugged back in it displays "Invalid Access Card" after the restart. A RBR always fixes this.

Access card problem or R22 problem?

I had this happen on a HR20-700 did the same thing after every CE restart, finally after a couple of months the RBR did not fix it anymore, had a spare card and I called in and they let me swap with the spare card that fixed the problem.

My skip to tick does not work on any recorded program. These are not live buffers.
