Even if the "Channels I get" was fixed (and it has been around for years now so I don't hold out much hope), the GUI would still be flawed because there are several reasons why you might want to record off one specific channel. And where you don't want to record a specific channel because it shows reruns but does not label them as such.
I suspect someone in DirecTV development or marketing is expecting this to be like streaming where many people do "binge watching". (

In case anyone reads this now, this issue was never a new GUI issue as it hit people on the old GUI as well. And i am curios, how many channels are showing as channels you get that aren’t actually channels you get? Not counting any RSN...

This issue is a real one for because I have the distant networks and no locals. So when I set up a program on 391(CBSWset) it tries to record on 3(my local CBS) which I do not have. Each week I have to manually change the recording from 3 to 391.

Are they going to fix this?????

chdoud, I have the same problem. I have locals (which aren't worth a hoot) and I have E/W network feeds. I either get too many of the same recordings, or on the wrong channels and, to me, it makes a difference for reasons too long to post here. But with lots of daily work, I can fix that. The biggest problem I'm having right now is my Genie has been hiding over 80% of my recordings and I cannot watch them. Since I record everything, that's a big problem !!!! There are a lot of postings about both of these issues over on At&t's Direct TV Forum.
