Why do you think you are limited to 10 one hour shows? If you have it set to keep all it will keep all 24 as long as you have space on your hard drive. Even the smallest hard drive in a DirecTV HD-DVR can keep around 50 hours of HD shows. Also, just so you know, if a recording overlaps on the same tuner it really only records that overlapping time to the hard drive once. The file system will just reference that section of the hard drive for both recordings. For example if you extend The Good Wife by one hour, and the Mentalist by one hour you will really only end up taking up 3 hours worth of space on your hard drive. That second hour of The Good Wife, and first hour of the Mantalist will both refer to the same 1 hours worth of space on the hard drive. So to me I would set both The Good Wife, and The Mentalist to recor 1 hour past their normal end time. That way as long as the game doesn't go over by more than one hour you should have the entire The Good Wife episode recorded within the 2 hour recording that is labelled The Good Wife in your DVR list. And you will have the entire The Mentalist episode within the 2 Hour recording labelled The Mentailist, but you will really only be taking up 3 hours worth of space on the hard drive just like if you had only extended The Mentalist. But this way you dont' have to worry about keeping around The Mentalist recording to watch the second half of The Good Wife, if you end up watching The Mentalist first. EDIT/ OK I just looked at your post again and I think I have figured out what you are trying to say, but you have it worded pretty strangely. I think you are trying to say you can keep 24 one hour long episodes for up to 10 different TV shows. Or 24 one hour episodes of 9 different TV shows, and 24 episodes of 2 differnet half hour TV shows, or 24 episodes of 8 different one hour TV shows and 24 episodes of 4 different half hour TV shows, etc. All adding up to a total of 240 hours worth of programming (which I think is about accurate for the Genie isn't it?).
