i asked him 1,000 times why he save them until the season over but he never answer me
I think a certain individual is yanking everyone's chain with the constant questions. He certainly doesn't deserve a Batman and Robin icon. LOL! :rolling:
I have a USB 3.0 micro B to Micro A on my external drive. If I buy an adapter to adjust it to connect a Esata cable will this work for my DVR? I was reading somewhere else that it has to be native Esata and that converters or adapters will not work..... Does anybody have any answers or tried it this way?
Not likely. Best to just get a native eSATA drive.
No, it will not work. It's been tried in the past by several on here. You need an enclosure with eSATA built in.
Update to my question before......about Esata. My external hard drive is on a dock that is Micro B USB 3.0. I called up BestBuy and one of the store personnel told me I can take it off the dock open the drive to treat it as an internal hard drive and buy a dock mount the hard drive on it and that the output would be Esata. Will that work for my genie DVR expansion??? Thank you for your responses.
As long as whatever enclosure/dock you use has eSATA built in you'll be fine.
Thanks for the help RunnerFL. Much appreciated. I didn't want to waste my time and end up going back to waste more time to buy what I wanted in the first place.
No problem, you're welcome.
