So I bought a 3TB hard drive to transfer my recordings to the new Hopper.
First issue: Old Hopper has 1.2TB of recordings, HD has 3TB free. I selected all recordings and Hopper told me the HD has no free space.
So I started selecting recordings one by one and as I'm scrolling down I ran into
Second Issue: scroll bar shows at half but I can't scroll and am stuck on shows starting with L.
I chose tolve those then and ran into
Issue 3: it's telling me it will take 12 hours.

    Does that sound right????
It is plugged in on the front of the Hopper but if the USB on the back are faster I'll switch...

    Thoughts on all 3 issues???

scroll is stop ? well known issue - search here, discussed

actually, after transfer first batch, you'll see next few lines; so, step-by-step, you'll done in a few days :)

Possibly, it is just making an estimate. It could go faster as it gets into the transfer but then again maybe not. I'm trying to remember when I transferred about 700GB when I first got my hopper and I think it took a good 8 hours. Just let it go it will eventually finish.

As far as scrolling goes, I ran into that last night when I wanted to transfer a single recording. I found if I choose to put the recordings in folders by names it showed all of my recordings. I believe, but am not sure, that you can then select a whole folder to be transferred.

Well crap, I woke up this morning and the receiver was off.
I thought that it transferring recordings would count as it being active but it turned off after 2 hours...

I had to start again and disable to the auto standby option...
Transferring recordings is a pain the butt!
