The HR21 is falling farther and farther behind every day. This little black box is looking mighty sad... :(

Is that a hint of jealousy I smell in your post?

No, why would I want a HD DVR that doesn't have the same functionality of the HR20 at this point?

Joking aside, I would have loved to get in on the HR21 trial, but the H21 is interesting enough on it's own. Besides, I don't have an actual location I could put it in... HR20 is the only receiver where I ran multiple coax lines to. (No, I am not trying to sneak it in that I need/want a SWM, I'll buy one when they are released though  )

No no, nobody would ever do anything like that. Although, an SWM8 would fit perfectly in my setup...

Patience, Jeremy, patience. There will be a time when HR20 sits still while HR21 is developed at a blinding pace.

Just because we have not received an update yet (I want one as much as anyone else)...doesn't mean there isn't work going on to deliver one. The longer its taking, the more probable it is that more of the HR20-700 to HR21-700 gap is being reduced.

Maybe the felt the base code was enough to test the base unit, and now want to do an update that jumps up near where 18a is on the HR20-700's.

In any account, don't expect the same HR21 CE baby-step updates like on the HR20's since January. I anticipate more like Jolly Green Giant steps. :)

Speaking of such things - is there a thread somewhere which explains why the HR20-700 seems to get so many CEs and the HR20-100 doesn't?

Because there are many more -700 users than there are -100 users.

I've heard (read) the reason is that there are more -700s than -100s out there. It's usually been the case that the -100 catches up a week or two later but someone from HundredNation would have to confirm that for me.

I'm sure I won by a nose but the server gave it to RunnerFL because R comes before T. :D
