There was 5 or 6 of us that our units would not take a pushed software update after the first one.

And as a point of data my H21-200 was one of the first test units last year and I've had problems with it the past 6-8 months or so with constant lockups and having to repeat guided setup on any restart. The first push seemed to take care of all that but obviously something still wasn't right with my unit.

I also received my H21-200 replacement and had the same experience with disconnecting the AM21 for the original boot up and having 4080 download automatically.
Should we take any steps to deactivate the old receiver from our D* account or will that happen automatically?

Our friends at DIRECTV will take care of it for us when they receive them back.

Any chance our friends at DirecTV can push the last CE to those of us with new boxes?

Sure would like to use my H21 for OTA football on Sunday. Maybe I'll hook up my old box for the weekend since I haven't sent it back yet. :)

You were the first person I thought of when I found out I had to wait another week. :)

I bet the weather is great in your neck of the "woods". We city people don't have a lot of trees down here. How is your OTA reception on the AM21?

    83/61 today
The AM21 is a lot better than I'd thought it would be. I've got both Sacramento and San Francisco setup and some days I can't get a few from Sac, but I can get the same network from SF fine.

H21 replacement was a blank screen. Audio was fine. No video. Did a reboot (unplugged) and still no video. That was a couple hours ago. I just checked on it and video was back.

Sure hope I don't have another bad receiver! I'll keep an eye on it.

    Thanks, Scott.

Folks, we're in a "no news" phase until our friends at DIRECTV get the software push issues resolved.

Why could Directv put push on tp 21 and let us force download?

Since this is VERY beta, allowing it to be "pulled" [forced] would open it up to anybody. :nono2:

DIRECTV could put it on Tp21 and still make it a push .. Or, leave it on Tp24 and make it a pull ..
