If I pulled the plug now I would get a retirement payment of about $250 a month.
I think that would allow me a so-so lifestyle in the Philippines, a few places in Mexico, or Bangkok
I am trying to build a list of places to live cheap to decide when I want to take early retirement. :)
If I hold out a few more years I may get up to Costa Rica standards.

Belize will not asses property taxes on your home until you actually finish the house.
BTW, not many homes are actually finished there. :D

Right now everyone I know that can retire is retiring, some are moving to Puerto Rico & Costa Rica areas.

Never seen so many mom and pop business being sold or closed.

I don't care what they say on the news, things are bad all over,Just wish I was in a position to pull out of the work a day bull.

As a retiree I have been contemplating your post for a week. I guess I have to ask. What's "a so-so lifestyle"?
