Then I will do the opposite. I will jump right in with the AM21 as that is what others will do.

I wonder if there will be a backlit version of the new remote? The Mrs. uses that feature all the time. Fortunately, our old backlit remote appears to work fine.

Since there's no new software spooling for the HR24-100, folks may want to think twice if they're going to put it in a location where you are counting on MRV being available.

I didn't consider this, and replaced our primary viewing location HR20 with the HR24. I may have to switch things around again. I'm going to wait until later today, tho, in case there's any news on a push.

Yep, which is why I said this earlier. I thought of the same issue.

Add me as well. The backlit remotes are ideal for the bedroom DVRs.

Ya. I just assumed we'd be able to 0-2-4-6-8 something newer.

    Never assume!

I asked my wife for the Packers :D remote for Christmas, it's cheap, RF and backlit. Only I heard the one for the Lions only works for 3/4 of the show and then it just falls apart.....

I got the Colts remote last year and use it in the bedroom. Works great with the HR24 there.

You two need to get a room :hurah: (just kidding, you two are ok in my book)

Here's what I know, the Rams, they suck! :( I try without much success to cheer for them, but I can't find a way.

When I first opened up the HR24-100 this morning, I didn't look at the box and thought it was the H24, based on it's size. I set it side-by-side to the H21-200 in my kitchen I was going to replace with it, and they were the same dimensions.

It wasn't until I noticed there were 2 SAT connections that I realized it was an HR!

I've been using my RC64RB since day one on my H24 since the H models didn't come with the RC65RX, only the RC65. The H24 is set on AV2 with code 3 and works just fine.

Did the H24s in Round 2 come with the new RX remote or just the RC65?

Edited to add: There's more than two Cowboys fans here. And my son, who's stationed in Detroit with the Coast Guard, is a Cowboys fan. :D Although he did go to one Lions game this season.

I'll have to mess with it later, but I cannot get it to use 00002, any of the other ones work except that one.

David, I couldn't get 00002 to work on the H24 and had to use 00003. (Round 1 model). But I'm not using the new RC65 remote, but the RC64RB. The new remote may work differently.
