Seriously, the bill that Congress passed and the president signed is called the "Continuing Extension Act of 2010." Story: http://www.multichannel.com/article/451546-Satellite_License_Extended_To_May_31.php

Full reauthorization is supposed to come by then. It's not in the story, but NAB Prez Gordon Smith said before the NAB Show last week that he would grudgingly accept (not his words) either a 5-year or 10-year extension, the two options that Congress is still chewing on.

And at the end of next month they extend the Continuing Extension?

We need the 10 year bill just so it has some time to be in effect before renewal. Unfortunately 10 years will mean five years longer to fix anything they get wrong.
