Why even bother? MB had a good run, up until Tori, Kari and Grant left in 2014. I never watched it once they were gone, as I recall. As to the new show, I don't expect that it will have very good lasting viewership. I won't bother to watch it.
Description says don't bother watching.
What a stupid idea.
Every spin off so far has failed. Sounds like they are lining up for another failure.
IMHO, the show lost it's appeal when they started testing TV shows, Movies, & Viral videos.
Sounds like "New Coke" to me.
I did not mind most of the viral video tests. The thing that turned me off was the "Jackass" style myths with drinking and stunts instead of more scientific experiments.
TV and Movie myths ... when done to test the myth it worked for me. When done to promote the TV show or movie it was too contrived. (And Jaimie agreed in the final "aftershow" - why did they test "higher ground"?) Why do a "Star Wars" myth special? Breaking Bad?
The blow stuff up element of the show was "fun" but not always science. I felt that was a payday for Jaimie. He would tolerate doing the show if he could blow something up or otherwise destroy something occasionally. Adam's payday was roll playing. He would tolerate doing the show if he got to play dress up.
I did like when the proved that you can't open a locked door by shooting the lock with a gun, which is something you see in shows and movies all the time and something I never even thought to question before seeing that on the Mythbusters.
Like this? :rolling:
