I am a current E* used looking to convert to D* and get the HD DVR.

What happens if a program is scheduled on season pass that is suppose to start at 7:00 pm on Sunday, but is delated 15 minutes because the football game ran over? Does TIVO adjust for that?

No, it will not. That's up to you.

I find myself (on CBS anyway - I don't record any Fox Sunday night programming) checking in on "60 Minutes" to figure out how long the delay is. That ticking clock helps a lot with that. Then I adjust the "Stop Recording" time appropriately for "Cold Case", or usually I will cancel the original "Season Pass" episode and set up a manual recording to cover the actual time needed. That way I don't necessarily record an hour and a half just to get it all.

If you will not be in a position to check on things and your local CBS or Fox affiliate does carry the late game, you will need to adjust the "Stop Recording" times. This also used to catch me when I recorded "X Files" on Fox on Sunday nights.

The Season Pass recording is all based on the program guide data as provided by those services. There is no way for it to make any 'real time' adjustments for live broadcasts going long.
