When sending equipment back what all needs to be sent back? Thanks in advance.
receivers and cards
also DTV ask for LNBF too, but you are probably cannot do that safely or have no a ladder or your arthritis is not allow go up, etc
If you get the return boxes, there should be instructions inside.
They have never asked for an LNB back in my experience. I've never seen anyone ever report Directv (AT&T) asking for one back. When I left, I was sent a box for one of the receivers/DVRs (HR54) and that was it.
Yeah, right. If you're going to pad your post count at least do so with facts.
I think that was DISH
Correct, Dish used to always ask for the lnb back, I've never heard of Directv asking for them.
Thanks for all the answers I guess I will see when the box gets here. If they want the LNB that's not happening I have a broken leg right now no roof climbing for me its 13 years old to been up there since "08".
They will NOT send you a BOX --Nor will they ever ask for a LNB, REMOTE or cables or cords --You only need to take your Account Number with you and the receiver to any FEDX or UPS Store and they will pack it and ship it giving you a Tracking NUMBER --IF you choose to wait for a BOX --you may find yourself in collections.
They should send you a email as to what receiver you need to return --if any
AT&T What you return/what you keep: Find Out How to Return Your Equipment
The last time I returned equipment they did send me a box. That was a year and a half ago.
If you don't live near a UPS or FedEx store they will send you a box. Maybe! They will at least tell you they will send you a box. Then you may get it and you may not.
I think it's changed since then. When I left DirecTV last year, all I had to do was bring my receivers & remotes to a FedEx Office. Showed them the notice I received and they did the rest.
yes that was dish who asked for the LNB back. DTV never asked me for the LNB back. if i remember right dish wanted a guy to go out on the roof in winter and fetch there lnb or be charged for it. i don't think dish asks for it back anymore as i am sure the thoughts of being sued if someone fell off the roof!!!
they should e-mail you a sorry to see you go letter
telling you to pack everything in a bag and drop it off at fedex or ups store along with your acct number so they can scan it in to there system. the letter will also contain info on what boxes need to be returned as it will have the model numbers and serial numbers of each box...
fedex or ups will give you a receipt with tracking info hold that for 20 years as we all know how att screws things up!!! and you will get or should get another goodbye email saying they received your boxes..
DISH asked, but did not enforce return of the LNB. Once they got to the point of "leased equipment", that is.
Directv is sending box to me,could I still just take it to a UPS store instead of waiting till box arrives.
You waited this long. You might as well wait for the box to come. It will be designed for the unit you are returning. It will have instructions on what to return with the unit along with a pre-paid shipping label.
Disconnection date was 5/5/2021 I have 21 days from then that's what it says on my account.
but be ready to take it to the store if (when?) the box does not arrive!!
