Looks like they may be a thing of the past. Nothing on the ST channels, nothing in the on demand area, and it's not mentioned on the website anymore that I saw.

I understand that. AT&T doesn't say that in the comparison chart. They should use a asterisk with a explanation so as to not mislead new customers.
I totally agree. They've been deliberately misleading people up until this morning. There were numerous references on several pages to channels 705 and 706 for Shortcuts all weekend. Only after the channels didn't show up last night did they finally scrub references to the channels them from their sites, which in my book is false advertising. Especially since their website also says that you can't cancel STM or get a refund after opening weekend and they didn't make this change clear until after the weekend was over.

Well, I just went through my Deleted email folder. I received an email from DIRECTV pushing ST on 9/2/2016 (I wasn't subscribed at that point).

In the fine print was this:

Short Cuts are available from midnight Sunday ET through midnight Wednesday ET via the NFL SUNDAY TICKET App.
Just logged into the app on my tablet. Tried to watch a Short Cut. "This game has ended. You can watch Short Cut replays after 12 am ET."

Is not Monday evening at 7:37 pm after midnight Sunday ET??

This is just frustrating.

Good point. Not used to MNF being on this early.

But another possible issue. Attached is a screen shot from my tablet.

Notice how near the top left corner it has the Raiders/Saints game listed as "Now Playing"??? I checked the date & time of my tablet. They are correct. I hope after MNF is over I'll be able to watch, but it isn't going to do me much good during the season. I need to be able to record/transcode/copy to tablet.

[Sarcasm]Thanks DIRECTV. [/Sarcasm]

Just watch it on the app. I don't see a problem. I've already watched four games. It works fine for me On my tablet. I know that we got swerved with the lack of 705/706 but since most of us got it for next to nothing
It depends on how long they leave them up. It was nice to record them and watch them whenever I wanted (including during other live games). Now that I have to rely on streaming and time restraints, not nearly as convenient for sure.

You mean to tell me that D* can't spare at least ONE HD PPV channel for up to an 8 hour period to show these shortcuts on? Ridiculous! Thanks AT&T!
I agree. At least make it available on demand so you can watch or download through the DTV system. Ridiculous that a certain part of the very expensive ST package isn't even available on DTV equipment.

Because the app is garbage. I don't watch football on some pitiful little phone or tablet screen. Unless you're trapped in an elevator, football is watched on a big, beautiful HDTV. The Roku app is supposed to enable me to do that but, again, it's garbage. The sound is bad, way too loud to the point of distortion (something that never happens on the real ST channels). The picture buffers, stutters, blurs, and pixelates and this is on pre-recorded Shortcuts, not the full live games, which are an absolute train wreck on the app. It's not my internet connection either. I have very high-speed broadband and never have streaming issues with any other Roku app. Not Amazon, not Netflix, not Hulu, not HBOGO, not Fox Sports Go, not ESPN, not anything else. Just this horrid app that they're forcing people to use even though it's clearly not up to snuff. And again, I have very high-speed broadband. A lot of Directv customers don't have that, either because they bundled up with AT&T's crap internet or they live in rural areas where high-speed internet is impossible. That's a decent chunk of DTV's business and they just screwed all those people over. So, they're angering traditional viewers by taking services away from our TV package without warning and they're angering the streaming only customers at the same time by giving them bad quality and pleasing nobody.

Then, there's the deception aspect. No warning in advance that this would happen so that we could cancel or downgrade before the weekend. They greatly devalued our package without clear, sufficient warning after raising the price. They are taking more money for less product without informing us until after it already happened. They didn't change most of their webpages concerning Shortcuts until yesterday, after they got busted for falsely advertising that they would be available on CH 705 and 706 as usual. Even their Twitter people were insisting up until last night that Shortcuts were on Ch 705 and 706 and that nothing was wrong. They were asking people complaining to DM their account numbers as if Shortcuts disappearance was an isolated issue confined to a few people with bad luck.

Plus, some of us do not get it for "next to nothing". Some of us are the pathetic suckers who pay through the nose so all the newbies and people who call in every year pretending to want to cancel when they just want free stuff can get it. It may not matter to you but, for those of us who actually pay, it's completely unacceptable.

I'm in my sixties and remember a time when TV screens weren't much larger than today's tablets. You had to sit very close to view the programing. I rather not revert to that regardless what I paid for Sunday Ticket Max. AT&T dropped the ball with this.

Even worse, a few people I know contacted the AT&T VP of Entertainment and got blown off and insulted. Basically, "You're the only ones who want it on TV and you don't count. Too bad, so sad. If you want to cancel, fine."

Once the merger went through AT&T flushed DTV, a once truly great company, right down the toilet.

I pay for (and have) four Dvr's on my account, yet their 'system' only allows one stream. This is the same as only allowing one reciever to 'tune' to the games, and is a direct violation of the subscriber agreement.

Over the years, Direct and the nfl have, year after year, degraded the service, and this may be the final straw.

I agree. Removing the recording/time-shifting is a serious degradation to this package.

The streaming is only available from Midnight Sunday through Midnight Wednesday. 72 hours to record previously.

But now between work and sleep, I could only, at maximum, stream these between 6pm and 11pm Mon - Wed. 15 total hours. Oh, don't forget to subtract the 3 hours of Monday Night Football. So 12 hours when you have to stream the games you're interested in.

Whereas with the games on 705/706, I had about 10 teams last year I was recording and could transfer to my tablet and watch while flying or in hotels. I tried streaming at several airport terminals. Lots of buffering if I could even get a connection.

Combine this with the elimination of the GenieGo, DIRECTV service is dropping in my list of items I want to pay for.

What a bunch of whiny complainers on this board. It's called adapting to changes. I can "cast" my app from my iPad to my TV and presto I can see short cuts on my regular television.

Yes we thought 705/6 were going to be used. I'm a little bummed by it but trust me the world isn't going to end because you have to use the app to watch the Bills v Ravens game on your phone. My PQ is perfect on my phone, tablet, or TV

And those of you that didn't call and get this to free or a huge discount only have yourselves to blame. Took me twenty minutes on the phone and the saved $480 this year

Enjoy the games. Have a nice day

I can't stream where I work (a block building inside a block building inside a block and metal building). No cell data at all. I have to walk outside and go on the north side of our building to get reception.

I travel about 12 days every month. Can't stream in the air either.

So I bought a nomad and subscribed to packages so I can travel with some of these shows. My 3 hour flight to Chicago would allow me to watch 4-5 Short Cuts. Can't do that anymore.

And to have pages on their web site that say you can record Short Cuts (even as I type this), is just wrong. https://support.directv.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2268/kw/short%20cuts

You in the habit of paying for items and not getting everything you paid for?

I will not subscribe to ST next year.

Yep you're right. Just did a referral for my new neighbor's next to me in early August, mentioning the short cuts available on their DVR the next day. They called me Monday night wondering where can they find them? I had to politely tell them it was false advertising by AT&T, and that the option has been cancelled as of this year's start of the season, even though it's still advertised.

I just turned on the news and the sun is still going to rise tomorrow. Directv made a mistake. The worlds not going to end. It'll be ok. The app works great. You'll learn to love it. Yeah it sucks we can't DVR the games we want but when I did that last year I hardly ever went back and watched a game from several weeks before.

Wow - I don't know what news channel you watched (and don't want to) but none of those "stories" were headlines on any newscast that I saw.

Subscribers have a right to complain (within the civility of our forum rules). We know your opinion - so there is no reason to repeat it.

Has anyone without the Max package tried accessing shortcuts on the app? I'm wondering how or if they are restricting it like they should. Max may become a thing of the past and everything will be included in the base package (albeit at a much higher rate I'm sure).
