Is there a shortcut to DELETE a recorded program that is currently being watched before it plays through to the end? I know you can hit INFO then SELECT and then scroll down to DELETE and then SELECT DELETE but I'm wondering if there isn't a simpler/faster way.

Or press the left arrow (works like a back button) then scroll down and select delete.

The "fewest button pushes" method I know is to hold down the SKIP key to skip to the end of the show and then just choose DELETE from the menu when it pops up.

I use the red button from the list to delete shows. You can hit list while watching a show, down arrow til you get the the show, hit red button, then confirm delete.

:D Same way I do it. Just hit list, scroll to program and hit red button.

Danger is my middle name -- so instead of doing the red button/confirm method, I press "dash" twice.

Used to do that until I deleted something important, now I'm scared of it.

I find this the fastest way too. Only issue that arises is when you've done something else during playback, like checked the GUIDE or the TO DO LIST. Then the screen you want for DELETE is no longer in the "back" buffer. /steve

Since I don't want to know what's on live TV, I do the following:

List, scroll down to new show to watch, hit play, then pause.
List, scroll down to show I just watched, red button to delete, exit to clear the list, then play to begin the new show.

You could try LEFT arrow, DOWN to delete, SELECT then PAUSE. The PAUSE may kick in before you see any live TV at all. Just a thought. /steve
