Thanks. What would be really nice would be if DirecTV could figure out how to let us download Showtime On Demand content this week, as promised in its Binge-a-thon. I checked back yesterday and only the HBO On Demand is working properly.

Showtime is advertising this as 1/16-1/18 (Saturday thru Monday) Free preview, yet under providers on their Web site, they show it from Jan 15-18th for DIRECTV.

Also listed is the Showtime Anytime service available on these dates.

As you can see from the list below (direct from http://www.sho.com/sho/free-preview/1), we at Directv (along with Hulu subscribers) are getting the least of any service provider from this. No Showtime Anytime/on demand access, and it doesn't start for us until Saturday -
    • AT&T - SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME ON DEMAND, SHOWTIME ANYTIME & Uverse.com (1/16-1/18)
    • CABLE ONE - SHOWTIME (1/15-1/18)
    • CENTURYLINK - SHOWTIME & SHOWTIME ON DEMAND (1/15-1/18)
    • COMCAST - SHOWTIME ON DEMAND, SHOWTIME ANYTIME & XfinityTV.com (1/16-1/18)
    • DIRECTV - SHOWTIME (1/15-1/18)
    • DISH - SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME ON DEMAND, & Dish Anywhere (1/16-1/18)
    • HULU - SHOWTIME (1/16-1/18)
    • MEDIACOM - SHOWTIME and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND (1/15-1/18)
    • RCN - SHOWTIME & SHOWTIME ON DEMAND (1/15-1/18)
    • VERIZON - SHOWTIME & SHOWTIME ON DEMAND (1/15-1/18)

The 15th is Friday, not Saturday.

the TV message says,"1/16 -1/18." we will see but it does look like this will start on Saturday. btw, David Bowie Five Years is on Friday, so i hope this is wrong.

RIP David Bowie, we lost an icon.

    Sunny...
It is available in the 1000 channel range as "Showtime Freeview" as well as showing up as a regular DoD channel ("Showtime"). Both are showing on mine. Remember, anything you record from the DoD channels go away when the channel does. You need to record them from the main channels when the preview is running to be able to keep them.

Crap! Well, this was a bunch of misinformation all around then for Directv customers.

Service doesn't start until Saturday. Wait...no we'll go ahead and change that to Friday at primetime! (wtf?)

Service doesn't include any type of on demand access. Wait...no we take that back now as well!
