The report shows the movement from transponder to transponder, and from online/active to offline within a transponder, with the legend explaining the terminology. I like it, and it gets the job done.

Someday, I may re-visit a better way, but not sure what that would be.

As I've mentioned before, (and you've requested), I've thought about removing the 10xx (active) to 1700 (offline) movement, but I think it's very important to show the movement so that everyone can see how Cinema HD is used for part-time needs. It's a very important part of bandwidth analysis.

I've also been capturing the mid-Sunday analysis, to show how Cinema HD is used for Sunday Ticket. I've been comparing the past 4 NFL weekends, with week 3 probably being the most active. I need to summarize it.

Some technicality - those tpn0 and PID_0000 are not kosher, perhaps you should revisit some routines.
My parser did show full info for one of those what I pick from your last report:
    "PPV" 785 tp9 D10 net15 1700 1702

If I forgot to mention before - there is a method to verify the parsing from stream:
    - using a program DTVcontrol and USB-Serial dongle, send cmd FA 83 (len=45) after you sent Set the desired channel number.
I found H20 is more reliable to control via USB-Serial vs HR2x models.

PS. I took samples of Net10's system info at 9:40am PDT and got the tables:

You're the master and your routines and gct's/doctor j's postings are the true reference documents.

I view this thread, and my posts, as more the summary view and daily spot check of D10/D11/D12, so that we can keep track of what comes and goes from day-to-day, but I always view your data as the specific details, since you're the expert and have parsing tools that I don't have access to.

I'm just doing rudimentary comparisons from day-to-day. It's sure beats when I used to compare your spreadsheets manually. :)

The new stuff just seems to be the "push" we've known about, and usually in the gct reports.

    D12 TP20-24, but now shows in 0x823.

Scary to think that "push" sounds to much like Dish and how they keep sending preloaded content to your DVR for you to buy. I hope that doesn't become the case. :(

Not sure about the SD DVR's but all the HR2X's get pushed content. Check out the PPV's banner ad's down in the 120's, all those movies that have a green circle with a white arrow in them and say Watch Instantly have been pushed/preloaded on the harddrive.

NP, the PUSH channels are mainly used for folks that have HD DVR's but don't have them connected to the internet to be able to use DIRECTV on DEMAND. Those folks have access to about 400 movies that cycle through all those push channels. When they select one of those movies the HD DVR will monitor the channels and then record it when it cycles through.

The push stuff is 6 HD per transponder? Normally they put 5 HD per transponder. Do you think they are using some newer, more efficient encoders to get 6 HD in the space of 5 without quality loss? If so, perhaps this would open a few more potential 'slots' in the current arc for HD adds prior to D14.

One more Cinema HD down too? Wonder what they are making room for? TruTV HD? That one was announced a long time ago... but there's much better ads I could think of.
