Software Problem with HR10-250

    I have just gotten my new version download a day or so ago. I have to power
    down at least 3 or 4 times per day. Channels will not change and going to black screen with nothing happening at all. Direct says they have had other calls and is passing my complaint on to the software folks. Operator tried to tell me I had a dvr problem but until they sent download I never had to go through all of these power downs.:confused:

    I'm over at the Tivo boards all the time and have not heard of any issues like this with 6.3.

    Most likely (not always but) it is your hard drive. The new OS is using a part of the Hard drive that wasn't previously used. Most likely that part of the drive has issues and you didn't see them until the New OS was installed.

    knock on wood, none on my one so far. I have two to go so it could be anyone's guess.
