Are South Bend locals still on 105 or have they moved to 110? If they haven't when do you think this move might happen.:)

South Bend is still on 105° for the moment. They are expected to move on May 5th. (see here)

BTW: It is possible that they are moving to 119° and not 110°.

Not that that would make that much difference.

It will for people who never bothered to upgrade to D500 or SD105, so it is worthy of note.

Thanks. I have a Dish 500 and have wondered if I should upgrade to the SD because for SB locals I won't need it after May 5th. Would it still be a good move to upgrade to the SuperDish because of my desire to add HD programming in the future? Thanks for all of your help.

If it were a 121 Superdish, I would say it isn't a bad idea, if only because some internationals are there, but there has been no indication as to what may go on 105 or 121 in lue of all this additional bandwith... I wouldnt be surprised if some HD locals get launched on 105 and 121 for DMAs that were orignally on the 105 or 121... ie South Bend moved its SD Locals, but now lets launch the HD ones on 105 because many customers will already have their SD 105 pointed in that area...

I wouldn't put in a SD105 at this time in the South Bend area. But the possibility is there that E* will use 105 (or 121) for HD locals so I wouldn't suggest that people with one rush to tear it down.

E* will need to mirror the 129° national HD on 105° and 121° before they can be used for HD locals. If that is their intent, I hope they start up the national feeds in May (as soon as they have room) so people in those markets won't have to install a D1000 for DishHD and then go back to a SD for DishHD w/HD Locals.
