Sigh... where is the study that says that 97% of all e-mail being sent is essentially SPAM?

I ca give you the stats from the spam filter I use - Barracuda Spam Firewall 400. During the week spam is 92 - 94% of the total, and on the weekend spam is 97 - 98% of the total. I dont think there is really more spam on the weekend, just business email volume goes way down. From the client end I can tell you it is not giving an excessive number of false positives, there are probably more false negatives (letting a spam through) than false positives

It's been about a year since I looked at it on our servers, but we were getting between 1.5 to 2 million messages a day into our Mail Marshal servers. Actual delivery from Mail Marshall to Exchange was between 50 and 65 thousand messages.
