this is what i do every 3 months. I have no movie channels, but every 3 months i call to get the 2 for 1's I have the starz/showtime until sept 20th, then i call on the sept 20th, and get the 2 for 1 for cinemax/hbo.

So... I think I will be dropping Total Choice Ultimate for a couple of months and taking advantage of the Starz/Showtime 2 for 1 promotion. My (stupid) question is:

My billing cycle is next week. If I add it this weekend, I just have to remember to cancel it in EARLY January in order to be charged FULL price for both premiums, correct?! In other words, the few days left in my billing cycle wouldn't count as a month, correct?!

You will get it free for 3 months from the day you sign up. Just have to cancel on the exact day it ends. Or pay the prorated amount for the days after it ends, if you cancel late.

For those only interested in Showtime, you can order it alone and submit for a $25 visa card from Showtime using this [link]. Its only for new subscribers and it doesn't work with any other promo's. So you probably won't get it with the 2 for 1 promo.

On my account page it shows both the Starz/Showtime/$12.99 offer and the HBO/Cinemax/$14.99 offer. The Starz offer expires 10/31 qnd the HBO offer expires 12/31. I just dropped down to Select Classic to save some money - but I'm tempted too. - sheureka

It goes back to the regular price. If your talking about the 2 for 1 offer for Starz/Showtime the first premium is $12.99 and the second is usually discounted and I believe it is 11.01. So your total would be $24.

The Showtime offer asks for 3 month's paid service bills dated between 1/1/10 and 3/31/11, while the Starz offer requires you become a new subscriber between 7/1/10 and 12/31/10 and remain subscribed for 2 months.

Showtime's grayed fine print says "Offer available to new Showtime subscribers only. Minimum of 3 months Showtime subscription required. Limit 1 Showtime offer per household in any 12-month period." The last sentence seems to contradict the first sentence.
