Stephenson finally retiring/stepping down

    Maybe COO Stankey is better at cost cutting debt than Stephenson.

    He’s been the COO and Stephenson leaving has been planned since 2017......I’d be shocked if any of the overarching strategy changes....there won’t be any more sats launched (IMO) if that is what people are hoping for.

    That's a shame since sat service is profitable, but internet video delivery is not (and not just T). Not to mention all of T's streaming attempts have been huge disasters.

    Stankey was head of DirecTV which was placed in AT&T Entertainment right after AT&T acquired D* in 2015. He remained there until AT&T closed the acquisition of Time Warner (now WarnerMedia) where he became the head of that unit in 2018. So you already know this devil so to speak.

    John Stankey came out to our facility last summer, shut it down a
    couple of months later.
