Tailgating a bit on this thread. I have an HR-24 that was replaced with a Genie 3 years ago. Never got a recovery kit for it, and I don't see it listed on my equipment list. Is there some other way to see if ATT still has me as having that receiver?
I assume you are not being billed monthly for it as you don't see it on your equipment list.
You can probably dump it (recycle it) if you don't want it any longer. Just pull the access card first and tuck it away in case it is ever asked for (unlikely).
The powers that be are giving me the business today. I called to activate a owned hr24 I bought 3+ years ago. back then they told me to call in with the id number before I bought it to make sure it was a owned unit. and to call back when I wanted to use it. but now they are telling me ... your're screwed.
I bought 2 HR24 for about $500 back in 2017. I'm pissed after 23 years with DTV. they are going to call me back as I've moved up the food chain there. they better not screw me over. or I'll ????
I have purchased at least 12 HRs over the years. I got screwed royally. If you get anywhere please let us know. I bought mine with the expectation of selling them at some point. Royally screwed.
AT&T has basically totally dropped the owned versus leased categorization. Everything they do now is considered leased. This is not your father's DirecTV.
They didn't call back yet.
And they won't call back. They never do.
Truth. Of course, the biggest lie is, "I have never told a lie." Followed closely by a D* CSR saying, "We will call you back." I am still waiting for call-backs from 2006, another horrible year that pales in comparison to 2020.
I missed them. Girl said she would call back in 90 minutes. didn't
Hey, you got a call, that should be celebrated.
