In addition to the freezes reported in the AIR thread, I had one at 3:00pm EDT. I was on a conference call and couldn't report it at the time.

I mentioned this in the WWW thread, but I'm repeating this here. I couldn't get the WWW client to run on Firefox 3.0.1 even though it was fine on IE7. Disabling the Adblock extension and restarting Firefox fixed the problem.

When I got back from my meeting around 3:30 ET. My video had stopped. I don't when or how long it had been running. I was using Win XP and IE 7.

I had every intention of testing today, but I got a late scheduled conference call. Since I run Vonage at the house, I decided not to risk call quality.

I did stream briefly this AM (around 10AM EDT) and saw a soap opera (from CBS?), but I only had it running for about 5 minutes or so, so I voted no stress test at all.

I didn't get on line until I got home at 1:30 EST. They stayed on until now. I also installed Supercast on my laptop and it worked as good as my Desktop. Laptop is an older P4 2.8 Ghz Toshiba.

Tested the web client. I let it stream for about an hour and then went to check on it and the video had stopped on a Geico commercial. Not sure when this occurred. Started stream again and read. Went fine from there. No glitches noticed.

had the AIR & WWW running on this machine continuous for 5 hours...
    (stress test hours included)...
could not watch any of the stream(meaning i was not in the room with it)..
except the first & last few minutes..
in the first minutes the WWW stream was a few seconds ahead of the
AIR stream....when returning for the last few minutes both WWW & AIR
were in perfect sync with each other

Started streaming at 2pm PDT. I am watching the generic Red Zone channel which appears to be a feed from CBS 2.

Will continue to stream for the remainder of the day.

Running WWW since noon central time. I was in a conference call for the last 1.5 hrs and came back to my desk and it was frozen. Switched to a game channel and back to Red Zone channel and it started playing again.

The worst part is Dr Phil was frozen on my screen! Fortunately I had work app in front of it. :)

A refresh got me up and going again.

Do we know if DirecTV is using a content delivery network to deliver these streams or are they being streamed off their origin.

I ran the AIR and WWW clients all day long, starting about 8AM EST, I came home a few minutes ago and the WWW app had frozen video, but the AIR client was still streaming.

I didn't get the noon start but I've now got it running on two PCs 24x7 until told to stand down. I may bring up a 3rd on my laptop at home but that thing is so old and slow I wouldn't know if the issue was the streaming or the PC.

Another suggestion for us IT guys that might have access to VMWare... Would it be possible to create a few PCs and run multiple sessions on a spare server you have or would it be bottlenecked at the NIC? I have a home version of VMWare but my PC isn't powerful enough for me to have but one other session.
