Last year, I got ST for $160, this year I will gladly pay $200.
I might miss the Red Zone but I never used the other stuff.
    And since my Dolphins play 12 1 p.m. and 3 4 p.m. games , I'll get my money's worth.
That's the only benefit to your favorite team sucking, they only have 1 prime time game.

Last year I called and got RZC for free. I actually later got ST for free, but I imagine at the very least I can nag them until I get RZC again.

RZC being on Comcast, U-Verse, FIOS, etc has made that argument very easy to make.

I wish DirecTV would offer a Team Season Pass. That way, you could follow your favorite team and also, if you need it, get the RZC.

Ha I hear you there, but we could be worse off at least the Dolphins didn't trade for Tebow

That was the beauty of having the Lions as a favorite team (just below the Giants). Not anymore though. Between the two of them I think they play nine Prime Times games this season - and that's not counting what might happen during the flex portion of the schedule. Makes this decision a wee bit harder.

Only 2 4pm games -- they moved the raiders game to 1pm.

It probably depends. What kind of "sweeteners" did you already get as a new customer? 6 months free premium? Free HD DVR or whole home DVR?

Chances are you got something already as a new customer. Something more might be tough.

    You can certainly ask though.

Well I signed up yesterday. 5 payments of $39.99 for NFLST.

The first payment hit my account balance immediately but I'll let it ride until my billing date, which is the 2nd of the month.

At this rate I'll be making the final payment right around the first week of the season.

No shortcuts or RZC that sucks. I liked short cuts. I could go back and watch games I missed Monday morning.

A friend who is not a current Directv subscriber (has cable).

I told him about the price drop for NFLST and he asked me what would be the cheapest way to get it? So I ask what is the lowest Directv package required to get NFLST and NFL Network?

Also I thought maybe the NFLST using a PS3 might be an option. Is that still an option for 2012 and if so what is the cost?

I can't seem to find answers to these question on the Directv site.

That IS the deal...it was $120 higher last year without any option to reduce to $199.
