I wonder why? I have had ST for 2yrs, probably not this year. And I haven't read on these forums in previous years that people were getting lump sum $200 credits lol.

I gotta say, these are the best deals I've seen a lot of people getting. I didn't do as well as many ('only' a $200 credit and free 'to go'), but it's still the best deal I've ever received on NFLST. Does make you wonder what's motivating the folks at Directv to offer such deals.

I got Free NFL ST because when I called, the CSR had me stand on one leg, while I repeated "rubber baby buggy bumpers" in spanish with one finger in my nose :p:lol:

Called today since the lockout appears technically over, and the best retention could do for me was 20 off for next 6 months for my regular service (essentially ST for $200)...he couldn't offer me anything directly for ST yet since their pricing isn't in place yet.

I have premier, and have subbed to ST for 4 years in a row. The most I have paid before was 180.00.

I guess I'll call back in a couple of days and see if I can get a 1 time credit once the pricing is actually active. I wasn't offered a 1 time payment which some here have mentioned....I actually wanted that to get it out of the way....

I've had D* for 13 months now (Choice Extra + HBO + Sports + HD Extra + ST last year + WH DVR)

Last month I got in on the 12 months free showtime deal

    Called twice today:

First call was offered 6 months $20 discount ($120) or $100 instant. I declined.

Second call was offered $250 in credits, plus a bunch of others. Had to ask about To Go, which she through in. I'm a bit concerned about the $10 HD fee being on there since I have free HD for life.

Last week tried and they said no deals were being offered and I asked for To Go and and they added for free. Just called this morning and got a $125.00 credit immediately applied. I might have them apply the whole amount of ST while I have the $125 credit on my bill. My billing cycle isn't until the 8/19, even though I was told they won't bill until the start of the season I am thinking they will start charging before then.

To the doubters of the deals being reported. I can say that when I called a couple weeks ago, I spoke with retention, gave them my spiel, and was offered ST at regular price less an instant $250 credit, bringing the cost of ST to approx. $85. On top of that, I was also offered free installation of whole home DVR/Deca (which I had yet to upgrade to), which included an upgrade of my one, non-deca capable receiver. Of course, signing up for this triggers a new 2 year agreement, but its still a very generous offer, IMO.

Hmmm, just got off the phone with retention and was told they could not give any discounts or special pricing off of Sunday ticket at all. I did get $20 dollars off of Premier Package and $10 Off of HD access price but only for 6 months. So all in all $180.00 off of our normal billing but ZIPPO for NFLST that's all the thank you I received for being with them since 94' and having ST throughout where as newbies and Movers get NFLST for free now. So I guess if I ever decide to move.....I'm all set. Pffft, just begging people to leave them if you ask me Dish- - HD access for free for Life, Cable or FIOS at half DTV's cost. Can't wait for the day when D* no longer has the corner on the market for NFLST then watch the how readily discount's, reduced cost's/fees and special pricing is handed out.

yep.....as noted before, I got the $250 in credits even though I've only been with them since April. $85 for season, I can deal with that. I didn't ask about 'to go' cause I didn't feel like pressing my luck, nor will I really use it.

Any how, my account balance was at $0, it immediately went to $84.95 on Friday and the auto-pay deducted it from my checking this morning so they're clearly charging for the package even without a "for sure" season - even though the lock-out is all but over per media reports.

Grassfeeder and GusBuf...quick question, did you guy's sign up for autobilling to CC at the same time these discounts were offered to you or does that either not apply (Gusbuf) or already had that account as autopay (Grassfeeder)?

Premier customer since 1998. Called retention and was first offered $100 off. I asked if she could do better, and she put me on hold and came back with an instant credit for half off (~$160). I asked about To-Go and she said it was 5 monthly payments of ~$10 each. I asked her if she could throw it in for free, and she agreed.

I suppose I could do better if I tried my hand at a few more rounds of CSR roulette, but this was a simple 5 minute call with no aggravation.

Best of luck to you all and thanks to everyone who has shared information.
