I dont think that applies anymore. My understanding of the new law is locals are and or DNS channels are now defined by your DMA only and do not take into account other affiliates that used to claim they could get signal to you. I know it made a huge difference here. I went from needing 3 approvals for a DNS feed for CBS to 1 (my DMA).

Yea, but that has *nothing* to do with NFL or any sports blackouts. NFL blackouts are based zip code, not DMA. So if some local station in southern Georgia for example claim that the zip code where this guy lives in Jacksonville is part of their Grade B signal then the NFL will enforce blackouts in that zip code. DMA really doesn't come into play with any of the sports blackouts. All about zip codes, what stations claim those zip codes *and* what zip codes the various teams claim (bigger issue with the MLB on that one).

BUT I would guess as mentioned earlier it was just a screw up because of the yes blackout/no blackout/oh wait yes blackout/oh we really mean no blackout confusion in the Jacksonville market.

NFL football in Jacksonville is as seen in this photo taken in front of a Football Fanatics store there in July. But they know their college crap!

I don't get it either. I am in the Jax market, and had no problems with the other games at 1:00PM.

I knew you other Steelers fan would sympathize.

I'm already nervous for this week. If I miss Ben's return, I will freak out... and what can I do? The poor CSRs that I call aren't the ones making the mistakes, so I try to be polite and calm, as best I can.

I think Jax is on MNF. So.... If the whole Jax theory is correct, I should not see any black outs...... I hope..
