I did a quick search, but didn't find the answer, so i'll start a new thread... Apologies up front if someone can point me to the right thread.

I now have a total of 5 HR boxes in the house, or 10 SAT inputs to feed.

I've got a WB616, so outputs isn't a problem. My problem is that two of the locations only have a single line, and I can't get another one run to those easily.

I was considering SWM. However, since it only has 8 channels available, I'd need some sort of hybrid.

So, can i take four ports off my 616, and use them to drive an SWM box, which would feed these two boxes?

Yes you can. You will need one of the SWM-8 units that you can find at solidsignal, ebay, etc.

since you need the swm-8 anyway more efficient choice is to parallel it with wb616 instead of cascading off it. costs about $10 more and leaves the wb616 outputs unaffected.
this gains you all the swm channels without losing 4 wb616 ports.
