I'm usually not such a dumbass.
Heh- I don't often get references that others do....:eek2:
Navy didn't care where it was. One guy had twin propellers on his buttocks, one guy had two squirrels on his thighs climbing towards his...well, you know. Lots of guys had them in clear view when standing inspection, nobody ever mentioned them.
Rich, I should have excluded the Navy. Without tattoos our ships can't sail!
A Tattoo Poll (without the poll)... :eek2:
I vote...oh wait...no place to vote...
I'm hoping to start a trend.
I wrote the post then changed my mind before creating the poll. Obviously, I failed to delete the thread.
A lot of us didn't have them. The guys that were making a career out of it usually did. I don't think the Marines, our Naval Infantry, were bothered by where there tats were either. They all seemed to have the Marine insignia on their arms. Had I been a Seabee, as my father was, I would have had that insignia on my arm. Google Seabee and you'll see all kinds of neat insignias.
You did well, this is interesting.
Ah, don't worry about it. We all make mistakes -- even I made one once.
I'm 55 no tat's yet but I'm not against getting a kiss logo or raider logo on my upper arm
The Raiders with Kenny Stabler. What a team!
I have one on my ankle. When in my Army skirt, I wore a bandage over it. Mine is an American flag with a yellow ribbon.
I wear my pride for all to see.
+1, and I'm 61
No tattoo's here. I thought about it several times when I was younger but never went through with it. I know a few people who have them and I'm glad I don't as it would look just horrible on me.
I thought about getting a tat, but I was worried about getting a bad tat like this. Also I dont like needles!
Well, that looks like bad Photoshop work. Or can you verify that's for real?
Having viewed some really bad tatts over the years, including the one above, I have come to seriously doubt some peoples' intelligence due to their apparent lack of judgment. For those here who have tatts, please note I am talking about really "bad" tattoos, as in "Dude, what the hell were you thinking?"
I'd agree. A tattoo is something one should take seriously and know who's doing the work. Not all artists are good or know all styles. A good artist will tell you they don't do portraits rather than do the crap job above. Research before getting inked and be smart.
So if you live in a town with only two tattoo artists, and one sports a body full of absolutely great-looking, spectacular tats, while the other one has dingy, poorly drawn ones, which guy do you go to to get your body art?
It depends on their portfolio - yes, good legit artists have them.
