    I have couple Dish DPP Twin 110.119 with 3rd in port LNB's that I would like to test. Is there a way to test a LNB that is on the work bench, other than installing it on the Dish to satellite. I have a Channel Master 108IFD signal meter that I thought could be used, but, I have no idea how.
    Anyone have a better idea or way in thesting one of these LNB's?

    Don't see how;

    As there is no reasonable way to simulate the 12.2-12.7 GHz band satellite input signals the LNBFs are designed to receive except to get them from the actual satellite broadcasts themselves.

    At least with any test equipment commonly available to consumers anyhow.

    Try a florescent light bulb with a signal meter connected to the LNB. Memory says it would show a slight signal but it really doesn't show how well it is working or if built in switches are working. I think when I did this we were using "C" band LNB and Spectrum Analyzer. There really is no practical simple method except substituting a know working LNB
