So much for the property manager being an unreasonable person. That's great news.
I can see where a landlord could have long-term concerns. In 30 to 100 years, the weight of the dish, in an unfavorable wind, could fall over the railing.
Then again, in that time the railing, even without dish, could fall over.
As it is, the dish would be useless long before that happened and an inspection every 10 years or so should be sufficient to maintain safety.
BTW, she didn't say anything about the $250 dish security deposit. I'm certainly not going to mention it. I think I'll let sleeping dogs lie for now.
It'd be ridiculous for them to ask for that retroactively on an install they approve as being complaint before the policy went into place. Actually really for anyone that's already there.
That probably won't stop them, however.
