I have lived with golden retrievers for over fifty years...
This is a bump for those who may have forgotten about this thread, and for those newbies that didn't know this thread existed.
Have fun with it. I think it is a great place to talk about our favorite companions and to post pics of those great dogs.
The conditions of my house arrest prevent me from having a pet, but
I certainly have enjoyed seeing and reading about your grranimals.
great pics & stories guys, I have no pics of my dogs atm, but have 8 rabbit beagles (more if didnt stop wife) running around my house, all either Tri-color or Blue-Tick
Check out my wiener.
I'm so glad you were talking about your dogs.
Very cute, I love the ears.
I love saying that. It's pretty funny to an unsuspecting person. I also have a T-shirt that says "Have You seen My Wiener". It has an outline of a Wiener dog on it.
Nice dog! We have one of those too.
Whoa, I have never seen a solid black one(or chocolate, can't tell). He is awesome looking.
Yes, he's chocolate with a very slight hint of red when the light hits him right. Great dog but not very good with other dogs.
This weekend we have a home inspection by a local Dachshund rescue organization. We told them our circumstances and how difficult it might be introducing another dog. They said they will try to find something. Most likely a submissive female would work best.
Funny that you should say that. Mine is absolutely horrible with other dogs. We actually got another dog at one time and had to give him to a friend a few days later. It sucked giving the new dog to my buddy, but Sam (my dog), hated him. He does not like any dog that he sees and it is even hard to take him to the vet.
My wife's former dog Socks. Now her dad's. We miss him.
My sister-in law's weiner dog Owen. We love him too.
What about us cats? *swipe*
I thought about that too. Hmm...
Here's our dog Arden...this is what she does when my wife leaves for school every morning at 6:30...she snuggles with me!!
Does your wife know about this?
How about a little blackmail?:hurah:
Our dogs love to sleep.
Smoke caught in the act of taking a nap.
Here is our toy poodle, Macy, (I call her Doodle!) who loves wearing clothes, as mentioned in the "dog emotions" thread.
She is not at her best as she had been at the beach all morning!
