40 new movies. It would have been 60 movies but they had to drop the ones with Lori Loughlin.
40 new movies. Any new plots?

40 movies all of which will have the same 3-5 plots recycled over and over and over.

Hallmark is more infamous for the same few recycled plots with their holiday films. Hollywood at least can have some original films from time to time that have new ideas and thoughts.

And hey if people enough those Hallmark holiday films then cool. They are like comfort food. Predictable yes as in you know what to expect yet.... oddly.... still satisfying in the end. They aren't my thing (the movies) but I know plenty who enjoy them.

Hey it’s over two networks not just one so that makes it better right?

Just saw Netflix has a bunch of holiday movies coming this year to compete with hallmark... yeah Netflix originals... it’s big money...

"...Hallmark Channel announced they'll be hosting the first-ever "Christmas Con" this November...."

Sigh. As if Christmas just wasn't quite commercial enough. But what do I know? [IMG]

Quality movies are expensive, I don't think Hallmark movies fall into that category. An interesting question, tho. I'd like to know.

According to Business Insider in 2017 the average Hallmark Christmas/Holiday film cost roughly $2 million to make.
