I currently have 35/35 Internet, it's been rock solid. Probably will try to get 75/35 when my 2-years is up later in the year.
Currently on the 25/25 and its all the speed I need, though they want me to up it.
Yeah, the 35/35 that I have is probably just fine, but thinking that when my 2-years is up that I'll try to get 75/35 bundled in at the same price.
I've got 75/35 and regularly get 90-99 (haven't broken 100 yet) on large downloads. It's crazy fast although I rarely need that speed. It came with my Fios TP package and 50/35 would have only been $5 less. Got a great deal just before Xmas and pushed off the install until late January when prices were almost 40% higher.
We were one of the first FiOS customers in New Jersey (after they settled the local concessions issues). We started out with 15 down and 5 up (the best Cablevision was offering at the time was 10 down and 1 up). Every time we get within 2 or 3 months of our contract expiring, they offer us more speed for the same or less money. We went from 15/5 to 30/5 to 30/15 to 35/35 to 75/35 and are currently paying $49.99/month (after $20 worth of discounts) the same we were paying for 15/5. We had one of the original optical terminals and it had to be upgraded to support 75/35.
As I noted above, I was on 25/25 but after talking to a rep was able to upgrade to the 75/35 for $5 a month less then I was paying before, so went with it. It was activated this morning so will see how much difference it makes with uploading videos to YouTube and playing other videos from there as well as the streaming from Direct.
Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same, but then figured I'd wait for the VMS1100, but now that's looking like Q3/Q4 so maybe I'll call. We'll see.
Well I have noticed a big difference with the 75/35. With my 25/25, YouTube steaming at even 720p was unwatchable at times, but now I have not found a time when I can't stream 1080p and have the receiving bar out in front of the play bar. Also with Direct streaming no issues either when before it was give me the "internet not fast enough" message over 50% of the time.
That's interesting. You'd think that 25/25 should be plenty for streaming, I wonder if 75/35 puts you into a special tier with better response.
Don't know but I am happy that it has cured the problems of watching videos.

I just pulled the plug on DTV. I already had FiOS Internet, but I bundled TV and got the Quantum 50/25 speed boost.
I love that "Faster than 95% of is" part.

So I bit the bullet and upgraded from 35/35 to 75/35 today. Should be activated tomorrow. Can't wait

I think I'm waiting for the VMS1100 to get released and then will call to get a package deal with the new box, 75/35, and maybe upgrade to Ultimate. My 2-years doesn't end until later in the year, and just thinking that a package deal may be offered, but we'll see.
I have 25/25 speed and my speed test results are 18 download and 30 upload. That's a wireless connection with the computer upstairs and the router downstairs. I'd rather see those numbers reversed.
I've got 50/35, never had issues with internet speed. I recently got a smart TV. The apps on the TV kinda addicted us to streaming. We now stream content all through the house on the TV, and blu-ray players.
I've noticed that only in the evening I seem to have a very slow, broken up picture on the Panny (GT50) even when it is the only device streaming in the house.
This is over a gigabit wired network too!
I am surprised.
My router is set to give media priority to the Panny too.
