I did a search and apparently there hasn't been a thread about season 2 of "The Leftovers". The season (or series) finale aired tonight. My mind was strained to its limit, but this New York Times review helped me achieve some kind of existential understanding about this season. Sort of. At least it reminded me of the first episode and how it all wraps up, existentially of course. Maybe it will help someone else or maybe nobody else had a sense of disorientation and confusion in the face of what appeared to me to be the apparently meaningless or absurd, which is the core of existentialism. I'll say this for HBO, they take on television series productions that might even have trouble gaining acceptance in the old art film theaters.
