Why not? It certainly could be DirecTV's fault.
I did not mean to open a can of worms.....
No worm to be had.
For all we know it's nobody's fault....or everybodys....
It's not greed if you're paying for it. My $1,600 a year to DIRECTV entitles me to every channel I can get.
Travel Channel HD has been live for over a year now. Yup, a year! :bang Still waiting.....!
(hard to get a chant going with a post)
Since I pay more than you can I choose a different channel?
Why not just say, "I want every available HD channel in 180P, and I want it NOW!"?
Me too (too damned close to $2K now that I do the math :eek2: ). I'll take AMC and HBO Signature in HD, please.
But now that D12 has a launch provider and approximate date, at least I know when to expect them.
D* needs to design their own reusable delivery vehicle, then they can just launch whenever they feel like it!
It's only rocket science, should not be too dificult.
dEfinetly Travel in HD and Military
ION Chiller and Sleuth
1. Travel Channel HD (Wife's favorite)
2. AMC HD (Mad Men, my favorite)
3. Chiller HD
4. MSNBC HD
5. HBO Comedy HD (I need my Curb Your Enthusiasm fix)
I pay DirecTv MORE THAN $1,500 each year and will cancel immediately if they use my money for foolishness
Seems like if they added Travel Channel HD and AMC Channel HD, this place might turn into a speculation Ghost Town.
Oh come on there's always going to be a channel to speculate on.
I'm rooting for the SI swimsuit channel in HD myself.
ALL you guys are too much! ("that's what she said!"). Very funny posts this morning.
1. AFTER TRAVEL CHANNEL HD? WHAT CHANNEL DO YOU GUYS THINK WOULD BE THE MOST REQUESTED? E! HD? PLAYBOY HD?...
Add in ESPNU-HD, and I think you're probably right. Not to the extent of "ghost town", but it would probably quiet down quite a bit.
I'd be ALL OVER that channel!
That's what they are sending the SD channels in.
You're right there! Directv should be very ashamed of the overcompressed, low definition mess it sends out as SD. SD can look very good if it's given sufficient bandwidth.
