    The dialog frequently seems clumsy and forced. I'm hoping the writers/directors/actors will smooth things out a bit.

    Interesting comment I found when researching this series. They said that the female leads in the video have a more forward role than they did in the books.

    Is it just me, or does Arborlon look like the deck of a giant cruise ship.

    Having read the books over the past 30 years, I have been enjoying the series. The only thing that bothers me is that I don't remember the early books being so up front about how this is really a future version of earth. I thought that subject came up in the later books when they bring the story full circle to how everything started. Granted, I read the first couple of books some 30 odd years ago. So maybe it was in there and I just don't remember it. I guess it would also be hard to visually show the landscape of the planet and leave out the rusted and falling down pieces of buildings and ships and roads.
