Well, here they are, and I have to give a ton of credit to HDTVfan0001 for these.

Those SWiM16's look awesome. They have a direct DECA input too.

So noticing the file name of the photo of the direcTv box("HMC30_Home-Media-Center-1_Pace.jpg"), are we saying that the new server box is in fact made by Pace now? hehe

Hard to say .. I certainly wouldn't read anything into the name of the file though. Certainly Pace is one of the manufacturing outfits used by DIRECTV. In fact, I believe Pace bought the Philips STB unit, so all '-300' systems are actually Pace systems now.

It is my understanding that DECA can optionally cross all 16 ports on the SWM 16 as well.

Draconis found that the model number listed in the system info was "/700"

[STRIKE]I believe Smiddy said it was an HR24-700 but I'd have to go back through this thread and look.[/STRIKE]

Smiddy and HDTVfan0001 are both DIRECTV subs, and so they were drawn to the DIRECTV news. There are some links in this forum that will take you to the Dish displays.

Well...now that we learned it from an onsite source at CES who shared it....yes.

Thought you gents might like those and the SWM32....went back yesterday to get another photo op..and the booth folks were kind enough to permit us to position them such that lighting was a bit better...

You'll also notice I managed to get you angles with more than one end view/ports.....just like me....I know some of you eat that information up....:D:lol:
These were nice devices. I was actually surprised how light the SWM32 when I was allowed to pick it up and try to put it in my bag while the booth person wasn't looking..... OK - I didn't really do that.

While there certainly is some work involved in doing all this, no DBSTalkers were harmed in the production of these photos or information.....:lol::lol:

Please note that Richierich was an ongoing participant in most of all this too, and I think if you asked him....he might just say he enjoyed himself a great deal too.

If you haven't figured it our by now....Smiddy and I really enjoyed the opportunity to see alot, learn alot, and also work together in delivering this stuff to everyone.

Thanks Smiddy, HDTVFAN0001, Draconis, spartanstew, richierich, AltCool! You've implanted a seed in my mind to try and get there next year. Special thanks to Smiddy for upholding the favored drink of us "good" beer drinkers:) Do you get rid of the DON-KAYY when you get back?
