I currently have an HR34 in my livingroom and an H25 in each of the 3 bedrooms in my house. All of which are connected to a coax based DECA. I'm thinking of switching to the C31 in each of the bedrooms and was wondering if the install was as simple as plugging in the power and coax cables that are currently running the H25's, or is there more to it than that? Also, on a related note, does D* charge a "receiver" fee for the C31 (just curious as I know that the C31 isn't technically a receiver) and if so how much is it?

It's as simple as that and the cost will be the same as with the H25's.

Why do you want to switch them?

Thx for the reply. I'm considering getting them so that I can pause/rewind live tv and browse/download on demand content without having to initiate it from the livingroom. Plus I hear they're more responsive than the the H25's when viewing recorded content. Still not 100% sold on them though.

I would say there's not much difference between the H25 and C31 when viewing recorded content. The H25 does have better remote response in general though.

It is handy that you can pause live TV and browse VOD through the C31. That's something the H25 can't do.
