Actually, Rocky Mountain and Northwest, respectively.
Sounds to me like they will be kicking some of the older movies to the curb. At least during prime time.
Soapnet goes down the drain at the end of March:
During Day 1 of ABC-Disney portion of TCA, the group revealed that its Disney Junior channel now has a launch date: midnight on March 23. The 24-hour channel that will target kids 2-7 and their parents is replacing SoapNet, which is being phased out.
I wonder how many kids, 2 - 7 will be up at midnight, to see the official launch!
How many channels can these spoiled brats today watch? Why doesn't DirecTV have an add-on package tier for all these kids channels so people who DON'T have kids can get a reduced cost for the adult channels they enjoy?
You answered your own question. They're there to make money for Directv, for those who don't care for kids programming. I wish that I could save money and drop the Kids channels, OWN, etc. We'll never see true ala carte programming.
Disney doesn't want to sell you any of its channels without selling you all of them.
