    Yeah ... the "LIM22," appears to be the LA version of the AM21.

    Rollout seems to have begun last year, first in Peru and then Argentina so far;

    From NEXTV LATAM: 8/23/2011 and 9/13/2011

    Isn't DTT is DVB-T standard ?

    No AFAIK, "DTT" just means "Digital Terrestrial Television" and is a generic reference to any DTV standard. ATSC, DVB-T, or any others.

    Got a note from egakagoc2xi about this: "In Peru, the announcement was made, drinks were served. And that was the only thing that was done. Nothing at all has happened since that time."

    Oh;

    So I guess Argentina is indeed the first then; :)

    On another topic gct;

    Got any best guesses yet on my earlier post #31 about to the discrepancy between Beam PR's HD transponders 2, 5, and 11 with a LHCP polarization (according to LyngSat) when the FCC file data for G3C shows no such ones exist at those frequencies except for wide-band (54 MHz) ones using linear polarization on the "NA + Puerto Rico" beam?

    Just a hint: If you check Lyngsat ( http://www.lyngsat.com/Galaxy-3C.html for instance) you find the "Source" in many cases is a contributor named "P Smith". Very closely related to our "P Smith".

    Yeah, I mean I do see a possible hint that they do indeed use those 54 MHz wide-band ones since the 30,000K symbol rate listed for the digital transmissions through those transponders obviously won't fit in the standard 24 MHz wide ones used by the other DLA transponders all listed between only 20,000-21,000K.

    But the stated polarization of "linear vertical" on the downlink for them in the FCC data which even includes a schematic diagram of the C and Ku band payloads with that listed for them as well, I can't reconcile. :whatdidid

    Nope, these tpns has no more then 36 MHz of real bandwidth.

    But doesn't a digital transmission with a 30,000K SR usually translate into a 36M0G7W type transmission which can in turn be sent down the center of a 54 MHz wide transponder admittedly with excess BW to spare on either side?

    Yes, perhaps you remember DTV DVB-S2D SW-1/2 Ka tpns what does show similarity... while I'm not sure if center freq cannot be shifted.

    Yes I see it a similar case with the SWs and their stated 62.5 MHz transponders (non-processor mode).

    Here though its a 36 MHz wide digital signal (36M0G7W) sent through a 54 MHz wide transponder since the submitted FCC specs for G3C show no 36 MHz wide transponders for the Ku band payload.

    Only 24, 27, and 54 MHz ones.

    Any engineer working with the 'pipes' would answer easy to the question, while to us it's require a lot of hassles, guesses, discussion and using expensive equipment.

    I'm always curios of the paranoya of classification level satellites' info; when simple data like the bandwidh or parameters of DTH (direct to home) signal keep as Top Secret. No official site provide such detail info for public and FCC docs obscured.many times.

    How soon do the test markets go live? I've been waiting for the FOX channel for two moths in my market and looks like its getting close to launching. Thanks

    Anomalies with today's Network 615, Lafayette, LA data:

    1. Line 2: *WLBT indicates WLBT mpeg4 still in *TEST mode
    2. Line 3: WLBT SD (mpeg2) indicates "tune to channel 33"
    3. Line 7: *KLPB indicates KLPB mpeg4 still in *TEST mode, but line 6 shows KLPB mpeg4 Virtual already in operation
    4. Line 9: *KLWB indicates KLWB mpeg4 still in *TEST mode
    This all makes great sense to the Lafayette folks?
