Today I called E* and asked to replace Classic Bronze + BronzeHD with the Turbo BronzeHD HD only package. BTW, I also have a few international channels in SD, 722 and 301 receivers.

Even so I told them that the 301 receiver will be used for SD internationals only E* refused to sign me.

Is that how it supposed to be?

Yes, you must have all MPEG4 receivers to go to the Turbo HD packages. This has always been the case.

If you switch out your 301 for a 211 then you should be able to change your subscription.

But then I'll have to pay $7 lease fee per month for the 211, right?

I think the lease fee on the 211 has changed, but you should already be paying $5 for the 301.

If its the second receiver on the account there is a $5.00 additional outlet charge or a $5.00 lease fee, depending on whether or not you own the equipment. Either way its $5.00

Yeah, if you want turbohdbronze, you will have to kick the 3x1 model. Really is no way around it.

Although to be honest... I don't know why anyone would want to have the hd only package. Really isnt that much extra to get all of those lovely sd channels too.

After looking at the new price increases, I have to agree. It looks like you save only $7 a month ($6 is you had DVR advantage) vs. the equivalent SD/HD package.

Actually Classic Bronze 100 with locals is $39.99 plus BronzeHD $10 which gives $49.99 while Turbo BronzeHD with locals is $34.99 so the difference is $15!

You're right. I forgot to add in the HD programming cost to the classic packages. I was looking more at Classic Gold+HD vs. Turbo Gold, and the difference is $18.
