Dish has finally dropped Univision (as well as HBO) from the channel line-up.

    The blackout's over:
DISH and Univision Reach Long-Term Agreement, Restore Channels for DISH, DishLATINO Customers | Dish

It hasn't been posted to the uplink thread yet, but:
2:53pm they restored the local Univision and UniMas channels
3:07pm Univision Deportes, Tlnovelas and ForoTV were restored, reclaiming their spots from the replacement channels Az Corazon and Milenio
    3:42pm Galavision was restored.

Also no mention of El Rey returning in the press release.

I see the Univision channels are back on in the 200's & 800's. However our local Univision has not been restored though.

KUNP Portland and KUNS Seattle are Sinclair Broadcast Group channels. They were removed June 30th along with the main Univision channels. The Sinclair ownership may have something to do with it.

On Facebook Dish said ElRay isn't coming back. I think the channel is going to go away soon, that's probably why dish isn't bringing it back.

It's not. It's one of the minority owned/run channels that's a joint venture between Univision and Robert Rodriguez created for carriage on Comcast's systems as a condition of the NBCU merger, so it has guaranteed carriage on one of the biggest providers in the country.

I tried to call Sinclair and I have not gotten a hold of anyone. I did call Dish and they claim both 16 (Portland) and 51 (Seattle) have been restored. Well they aren't there. At least as yet. I called a friend and the same with him. I will try to get a hold of Sinclair again.

Call Dish and see what they say. But it had to be a money thing I am sure. I would guess that the contract would only involve the Spanish channels. With El Rey, they probably wanted more than Dish wanted to pay. If Univision was one of the biggest Spanish networks, I doubt it would have returned. I don't know if El Rey is available on any streaming services. I believe Direct has it. Liked the channel, but too many ads...

I called Dish and all they told me was that Elrey was not part of the new deal and that possibly in the future a deal could be made for Elrey again......I call ********!

you can call bullsh*t all you want, but sounds like that channel is disappearing in the near future, so why would DISH negotiate in a channel which would cost it more money that will be dead soon?
