Guessing this channel won't be on DirecTV either, just like the P12N. What a joke for those of us that wanna watch the conference of champions.

Sounds like copy right from the PAC 12 brochures.

I suggest you get cable, because it seems that D* is making you a miserable, bitter person. You do have options.

The Pac-10 is the Home of Champions, and Stanford has, by far, the most successful athletic program in the country.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    http://www.nacda.com/searsdirectorscup/nacda-searsdirectorscup-0102finalrelease.html

The Division I race will be concluded on June 22, after the NCAA College World Series. However, Stanford University has already clinched the Sears Directors' Cup. Stanford Athletics Director Ted Leland accepted an unprecedented eighth consecutive Sears Directors' Cup.
The Cardinal clinched the Sears Directors' Cup with a total of 1429 points (to date), surpassing runner-up Florida by 351 points. Stanford won its eighth straight Sears Directors' Cup on the strength of four national championships (women's volleyball, women's tennis and men's and women's water polo), a total of 10 teams finishing among the top five in national competition, and 18 teams placing in the top 10. The Cardinal baseball team will add to those totals with its performance in the 2002 NCAA College World Series.
Stanford teams placing in the top 10 were men's swimming and diving (2nd), men's cross country (2nd), men's soccer (3rd), women's swimming and diving (3rd), women's indoor track and field (5th), women's cross country (5th), women's gymnastics (6th), men's gymnastics (6th), men's fencing (6th), women's outdoor track and field (7th), men's outdoor track and field (8th), and women's soccer (9th). The Cardinal recorded points in the maximum of 10 women's and 10 men's sports.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------

And the Cardinal is the preseason #4 in NCAA football poll.

Show me another school after UCLA that has anywhere near as many championships overall? Oh yeah, the next two on the list are also from the pac12. After that no one else is even past half as many. And how many Olympians come from pac12 schools?

They are called the conference of champions for a reason.

Still not enough reason to create seven more channels, but there is a reason. :)

It's a name they gave themselves. Like the Cowboys called themselves Americas Team.

The only champions America cares for are football and basketball.

Sear's Cup record is very impressive, but most of the sports are a yawn. Except to parents of the athletes, alums who played the sport(s) and gung-ho alumni who'll watch and root for anything associated with their alma mater, there's not much interest in anything besides FB and Basketball. For many folk, not everyone, of course.

Eh, NCAA postseason softball and baseball get decent ratings. Hockey does well in the Northeast.

Nowhere near football and basketball with football way, way ahead.

So much so that all the other sports are complete after thoughts in the conference realignment that continues to go on. Football is #1, #2 and #3.

Anyhow, I expect FS1 to be on D by the 17th or a few days after. For one they have alot more marquee games then PAC 12 network and well they have FOX Sports Live aka the big show circa 2013 with Dan O Toole and Jay Onrait.

If D* and Fox have to go back to the negotiating table in regards to Fox S1 then they need to get Fox On Demand included.

Having CBS,ABC and NBC on demand and not seeing Fox there is discouraging.Hopefully it will show up in the line up before the fall season gets on the way.

I highly doubt it. If DirecTV is drawing the line with the Pac 12 Network, then picking up Fox Sports 1 would simply be hypocritical and destroy their current stance on the Pac 12 Network.
