Unless I miscounted, out of 19 hours of prime time each week NBC will offer 6 hours of new scripted drama and 2 hours of new scripted comedy each week when it isn't running reruns or special shows. That is less than half.:nono2:

NBC, NBC. What to do with you. It's almost as if the network is begging people to turn elsewhere. At least they had the sense to cancel Kath and Kim.

I agree. The cable channels, including NBCU's cable channels, will have a stronger offering whatever your taste. Except for the Winter Olympics, though presumably a lot of that will be on cable channels.

I still can't believe that are going to stick with Re-Run Saturday.

You'd think with losing an hour every night to Leno they'd use Saturday to show original stuff that doesn't air during the week.

By the way, "Southland" is in a Friday death slot along with what undoubtedly will be the last season of "Law & Order".

They should have renewed L&O for 2 years. Going just 1 only ties them with Gunsmoke, 2 would break the tie.

Well, NBC is down to Heroes, Chuck, Southland and 30 Rock for me. The new stuff doesn't look promising.

Only Chuck, Heroes, 30 Rock, L&O and L&O:SVU for me on NBC now.

That is until Jay fails and they scramble to find shows to put on at 10pm.

Only about 3 hours per week for me there (not counting football).

Although I'm not sure how much NBC I currently watch (don't really keep track of what shows are on what network).

NBC will only get my eyes for three hours a week each season, with Chuck/Heroes as one hour, 30-Rock/The Office another, and Southland the final hour. I'll reserve my decision to check out any new NBC programs until the critics have had their chances, as I have no intention of even bothering if a critic I respect doesn't first think it worthwhile. I used to be willing to form my own decisions for NBC's shows, but I won't bother wasting my time if they won't put in the effort.

Phrelin, does this mean Medium is now going to be on CBS for sure? Or is that still up in the air as well>

    CBS has picked up Medium.

In isolation, this schedule looks okay, but when you start lining it up against CBS, Fox and ABC it's got some major problems. I think Thursdays especially are vulnerable.

Chuck is officially on the list, albeit on the late list. That's all I care about...

That's good news. Whilst I didn't love the show, I liked it well enough to have a SL for it.

Well since NBC Axed Knight Rider. And rumors that Southland is on it's last season. Then only Heroes remain. Once those shows are over I never will watch NBC again.

Just in case someone thought the Leno at 10 pm isn't an economic experiment supported by "corporate," we have this comment made during the Upfront period from CNN Money:
