In our house, we have 2 DVR's and one satellite dish outside. About 600 feet + from the house, we have one DVR with its own satellite dish for our farm office. We are charged $10 a month for this receiver. All 3 DVR's are under one account and are all located at the same address. We would like to upgrade to the Hopper 3. Dish will only allow one Hopper 3 and we cannot keep the same DVR that is in the farm office. A Joey signal will not reach the 600 + feet from the house to the office. Dish recommended a Wally or a 211 DVR, both of which cannot record. Does anybody have any ideas how to get the Hopper 3 and have a recordable DVR out in the farm office that is 600 + feet away?

The 211 can be upgraded for a one time $40 fee and addition of a Hard Drive creating a single tuner DVR. The Wally is so new that the system is still gelling. It may or maynot be useable with the Hopper 3.

Do you know if the Wally can be upgraded to record or is it only the 211?

Last I heard no other receiver can be added to a hopper 3.

211s can be added to Hopper 3 accounts and can be converted to DVR with EHD.
