Columbus-Tupelo is uplinked! My brother will be ecstatic, if he can easily get a 105 Superdish.

    John H,

Am I right in assuming that ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX are the only stations uplinked, with a mapping of PBS from Jackson, MS?

I will talk with a station engineer there to see if a tentative release date has been set for Columbus-Tupelo, MS.

I can't check the mapping of the PBS, but otherwise that seems correct.

It is sharing a transponder with Baltimore, so it could be any PBS.

Guess now the question comes up... why did it take Dish so long to turn on this spot? It is not like this is a new satellite. I wonder if they were saving this for another market and gave up?

I was just fixing to ask why they didn't use this spot for brand new markets. Maybe where the spot is pointed they couldn't get any retrans agreements for new markets so they decided to instead just move over a crapload of LA channels?
